Susan Faith is not your “typical” author or speaker so you can be certain that a visit by her to your event, corporation, school, church or synagogue will be fondly remembered for a long time.

Her background includes Certification in Elementary Education with experience working with children in gifted education, special needs, Montessori, and traditional school settings from pre-school to high school. Susan received her B.A. in English and American Literature with honors from Brandeis University. She spent several years in Corporate Management prior to raising her son.

While her child was a toddler, Susan started a handpainted clothing company and worked in the wee hours of the morning to paint and fill custom orders. When her son began Kindergarten, Susan began law school and received her J.D. Her background in law includes working with domestic violence and abuse victims; being a Law Clerk for the U.S. Attorney, specializing in Sex Crimes(pedophilia), Civil Rights and Sexual Harassment Cases; and, a Law Clerk for a U.S. Federal Judge Magistrate.

Susan spent many years involved in major fundraisers for non-profit organizations and still believes strongly in the power of giving. A firm believer that the Universe is abundant and always provides, Susan Faith donates part of the proceeds from her books to benefit children, animals, the environment and organizations that promote equality.

A public speaker for over twenty years, Susan is comfortable, entertaining and a true delight in front of audiences of any age or size. She has the natural ability to engage people and to keep them interested and involved. As she always says, “I’ve never met a Mic(rophone) I didn’t like!”

Prior to becoming an Author, Susan Faith was challenged by much illness. Now, Susan Faith continues to love sharing inspirational and spiritual stories with both children and adults. She believes that it is her purpose to write and speak with a positive message to encourage everyone to live a happy, healthy and abundant life. Susan Faith enjoys living with an optimistic outlook and believes that we are all connected and can work together to build a more accepting and more peaceful and loving Universe.

In addition to her many hobbies such as gardening, drumming, and traveling, Susan Faith adores animals. She has been an animal lover since birth and has never been without a dog in her life. Susan is fortunate to live among the gorgeous red rocks with her partner and their two dogs and four cats!

Topics:

Susan Faith is available to speak on a variety of topics. ALL of her presentations (assembly or class) are interactive and WILL involve the students and staff. The messages are important but will be delivered in a large container of FUN!

Equality- “Honor Our Differences and Cherish Our Similarities”- through a unique and fun presentation, Susan Faith shares a message that will have your students (and the staff) viewing others in a manner which promotes equality, love for others and fosters a community of sharing and understanding.

Friendship/Community/Good Citizenship- “Wherever You Travel, Always Carry Your Most Prized Possession, YOUR SMILE”- enjoy learning the way to turn any challenge into a positive situation by changing your approach to the world. Students (and staff) will learn that through simple acts of kindness, such as always greeting others with a smile, they can change their day, their life, and eventually the World.

Respect for Animals- It has been documented that children and adults who interact well with animals learn the basic premises for being loving and kind humans. Many of the aggressive behaviors we observe in children begin with inappropriate behavior toward animals. Susan Faith will share her love for animals and introduce suggestions for good animal care and safety, whether they be pets or animals in nature. Child Safety- Having worked in the federal and state court systems with child abuse and pedophile cases, Susan Faith is a great source of information to keep your children safe. She will present some easy ways to stay safe with her acrononym “DROP.” In an educational but light presentation, have your children learn some key factors in staying safe and appropriate methods for reactions to combat inappropriate contact by others.

Self-Esteem- “Your Melody Blends With the Universe in Perfect Harmony” - We are all different but that does not mean that we are not ALL special. Susan Faith presents a real look at how we judge ourselves and teaches us to instead, love ourselves. Feel great about yourself and watch your students glow after this creative, interactive presentation that will have you laughing and crying at the same time. Guaranteed to have you and your students feeling wonderful and unique just the way you are.

In addition to the above topics, Susan Faith may add to her presentations, upon request:

Visit by the “Purple Puppy” – when distance and/or practicality prohibits THE Purple Puppy’s appearance, a “stand-in” may be available with the assistance of the local humane society or other animal shelter;

African Drum Presentation- Susan Faith is happy to share her Djembe and her love for drumming in a brief presentation about the drum and its importance in various cultures, intertwined with a musical presentation. If available, students will be provided with drums and various hand instruments to create a musical intention for peace, love and equality within your school community and the World community. This is a wonderful event to conclude Susan Faith’s visit and to bring your school together in music. If instruments are not available for the students, Susan Faith can still create a loving atmosphere for the students which is great fun for the students to dance and express themselves rhythmically.

Fees:

Until 2006, Susan Faith visited dozens of schools, non-profit organizations, fundraising events, hospitals, companies and trade and public events for gratis, underwriting the expenses personally. It was her way of giving back. To the extent possible, Susan Faith still supplements the expense of visiting schools, charities and non-profit organizations. However, unless special circumstances exist, it is necessary to require funding for a visit by Susan Faith.

Generally:

  • Travel fees
  • Honorarium per day of visit

What’s included:

  • A program custom-tailored to your specific needs;
  • Susan Faith for a day
  • A Production Director to coordinate all of the activities, technical requirements and to be a second set of hands and general assistant to Susan Faith and who will act as the liason between the school/organization prior to Susan Faith’s arrival.

Please inquire regarding times when Susan Faith will be in your area. We encourage schools and/or groups to cooperate with each other in splitting the travel expenses involved.
