Published in January 2005, Purple Puppy is written by award-winning author Susan Faith. Purple Puppy is endorsed by internationally-renowned author of “The Chicken Soup” series, Jack Canfield, and numerous organizations, including the Humane Society. Well-written and beautifully illustrated in watercolor, this 32-page full-color picture book makes a wonderful gift for both adults and children. And, remember a copy for yourself! To honor Purple People Inc.’s philosophy of providing for those we can help, a portion of the profits from Purple Puppy will be donated to causes supporting animals. While touring with Purple Puppy, author Susan Faith has worked with local animal shelters to help showcase animals in need of adoption at each of her events to help find good homes for some of the thousands of homeless animals. She believes that adopting an animal is a life-long commitment, and that we do not rent them with an option to dispose of them. To help prospective and current animal owners gain insight into pet safety and healthy lifestyles for their companions, Susan chose to include some helpful animal care tips, created with help from the Humane Society of the U.S. and veterinarians. Her lively story also delivers a great message for adults to teach children about their own safety. Purple Puppy is the sequel to Purple Love, which has won multiple awards including the 2003 GLYPH Award for Best Children’s Book and 2003 GLYPH Award for Best Inspirational, Best Spiritual Book. Susan also won the 2003 Arizona Literary Award for Children’s Literature.
