Katrina: Purple People Donates 560 Books to St. Bernard Parish

In Memory of the lives lost in New Orleans 5 years ago from Hurricane Katrina, Purple People is donating 560 books to J.F. Gauthier School.
St. Bernard Parish was the area hardest hit when the levee let loose with 100% of the homes deemed uninhabitable after the hurricane. Children of
families who have returned to the area, attend one of several schools, the most needy being Gauthier Elementary.

Local New Orleans area residents, Karen Springer and Gina Isbell, are working with Purple People to distribute the books. (more…)
