I just returned from Boston where I had a wonderful time. Having lived in the Boston suburbs for over twenty years, returning now as a “tourist” can be really fun and exciting. This trip, one of the great things I experienced was all of the different cultures in the City, by eating at restaurants of different ethnic foods from around the world. (more…)

Everything happens for a reason. A few months ago, I was on a flight and noticed a flight attendant’s bracelet. I asked her what it meant and she told me it was in memory of a flight attendant, Mel, who lost her battle with Breast Cancer. Although she never met Mel, flight attendants world-wide have supported Mel’s charity. She wrote the website on a piece of paper. Why did I find this piece of paper today, months after I received it? Pangea Day? This is a Global event bringing the World together through film.
Why?
In a world where people are often divided by borders, difference, and conflict, it’s easy to lose sight of what we all have in common. Pangea Day seeks to overcome that – to help people see themselves in others – through the power of film. (more…)

I love the concept of “random acts of kindness” and try to live my life by doing nice things for people whose path I cross. I hope I met you in Southern California and you were one of my “caught” people to whom I gave a free book. I’m continuing this idea wherever I go this year. (more…)

One of my trademark expressions, “Wherever you travel, always carry your most prized possession, your smile,”© is one of my favorites. What other baggage do we take when we travel? Do we remember our basic principles to contribute to a healthier planet and therefore remember to recycle when away? (more…)

Are you remembering to take time to LOVE YOURSELF? Many of us made New Year’s Resolutions and two months into the year, we need to remember that while we succeed at our resolution, we need to reward ourselves. One way to do that is to be sure to be loving toward the most important person in your life- YOU! (more…)

I have traveled both nationally (in the U.S.) and internationally with “Purple Love” and “Purple Puppy.” It has been a wonderful and enriching experience and we want to do more. But, let’s face it. I can’t be everywhere. However, I truly want us all to join together to make this World a more peaceful, loving and caring place in which we can live and have our children grow. So, in an effort to spread equality among all humans and respect for all living creatures, we’re going to begin a new program, “Purple Planet,” in which we send copies of “Purple Love” and “Purple Puppy” across America and the World. I’ve just recently returned from an extensive trip to New Zealand and Australia. The primary purpose of the trip, beyond the obvious that I’ve always wanted to go to these two magnificent countries, was to interview people about their perception of Equality for an upcoming documentary that Purple People is producing by filmmaker Tami Pivnick.
Bottom line- if you ever have the opportunity to visit one or both of these countries, GO!
